Test Proctoring
Guidelines
The CLASS Testing Center provides a testing environment for students with approved disability accommodations. CLASS will assist in proctoring tests and exams for students with disabilities in the following circumstances:
- The instructor has exhausted all other options within the department (such as rescheduling the exam in the department if the student cannot start before or stay after the scheduled class time or having other departmental graduate students or staff help with proctoring a test within the department).
- The student’s testing accommodation requires a separate testing space that cannot be managed in the department.
The CLASS Testing Center operates by appointment only and is coordinated by Ann Madigan (testctr@wfu.edu) Testing Center Coordinator.
- The appointment hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
- Extended testing hours will be available during Midterms and Finals.
- Appointments should be made at least 5 business days in advance.
- Testing appointments must begin at the same time as in-class administration of the exam. Exceptions will only be made for accommodation-related time adjustments and must be approved by the instructor.
- Students who are more than 15 minutes late to their test proctoring appointment must contact their instructor and reschedule their test proctoring appointment.
Student Responsibilities
- Contact Ann Madigan at testctr@wfu.edu to schedule an appointment. Students will receive an email to complete a Google form to request test proctoring. After the form is submitted by the student, an email will be sent to the faculty member to complete the request form.
- After both the student and faculty portions are complete, the student will receive a confirmation email with the time and location of their appointment.
- It is helpful to schedule all exams, even final exams, at the beginning of the semester.
- Please visit the Testing Center before your first appointment to become familiar with the facility and location. Testing will be provided in 231 ZSR Library.
Faculty Responsibilities
- It is the student’s responsibility to contact the Testing Center Coordinator in the CLASS office first. After the student completes the student portion of the Test Proctoring Request Form, the faculty member will receive an email with a request to complete the faculty portion.
- After both the student and faculty portions are complete, the student will receive a confirmation email with the time and location of their appointment.
