What is the Faculty Advisory Board?

The Faculty Advisory Board (FAB) was created in Spring 2021 to allow another avenue for faculty to be in open dialogue with the Center for Learning, Access, and Student Success. Faculty Advisory Board members may serve as advocates to their department/colleges regarding CLASS services and serve as a sounding board for CLASS as we implement new policies and procedures.

The Board meets two to three times a semester. Meetings include reviewing an article pertaining to disability accommodations, academic coaching, or peer tutoring, sharing outreach and workshop opportunities, and discussing faculty concerns regarding accommodations or student needs.

How Do I Join?

If a faculty member would like more information, or would like to join the Board, please contact Ashley Heffner (heffneal@wfu.edu), Staff Psychologist or Michael Shuman (shumanmp@wfu.edu), Director.
